A humble card, sure, but an essential one. Dinosaur decks in Commander usually incorporate at least a little bit of an enrage theme, and I consider Ranging Raptors to be the most important enrage card you can play (yes, even more so than Ripjaw Raptor). Dinosaur decks invariably play huge monsters, and need every extra land they can get, and here is a repeatable Rampant Growth that you should be able to trigger multiple times if your deck is built to support an enrage theme. Ideally, you’re getting three or more lands from Ranging Raptors, but even if you only get two, you’ve still done better than Cultivate – which it’s worth remembering is one of EDH’s most popular cards!
