As mentioned before, The Lost Caverns of Ixalan introduces four new and exciting Commander Precons — Veloci-Ramp-Tor, Ahoy Mateys, Blood Rites, and Explorers of the Deep — to support this release. While it’s rare to mention any cards featured in these Commander Precons, there is an exception with Charismatic Conqueror, a Rare that looks to bolster White in the singleton format immensely.
Appearing in the Blood Rites Commander Precon, Charismatic Conqueror comes with a truly unique effect that can force the opponent to tap any Artifact or Creature that enters the battlefield untapped under their control, and if they don’t tap the card as it enters play, Charismatic Conqueror’s controller creates a 1/1 Vampire token with lifelink. If left unresolved, this Vampire Solider can easily become out of hand, especially if accompanied by effects such as Anointed Procession or Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation. For many Commander players who play White, snapping up Extended copies will be a priority when The Lost Caverns of Ixalan drops, or when cracking open those Collector Boosters upon release.
